Epreuve du chagrin, d’un personnage de femme coréenne, qui, en cours de reconstruction de sa vie après la mort brutale de son mari, subit la perte de leur enfant. Le thème de la force que peut lui apporter la religion, et son effet pervers. On est suspendu aux pulsions de vie et de mort de cette femme, qui se succèdent. Il y a pourtant des brèves pincées d’humour.

La vie quotidienne est une survie, la fin du film laisse imaginer que la situation peut s’arranger. Une émotion très présente durant tout le film.
